This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Director, Workforce Management in United States.

In this senior leadership role, you will sit at the critical intersection of planning and real-time execution within a complex healthcare operations environment. You will lead workforce management teams responsible for translating forecasts into precise, compliant, and efficient staffing schedules that support pharmacy, clinical, and support operations. Your work directly impacts service levels, patient safety, and turnaround times across high-volume, regulated workflows. Operating in a fast-paced and highly dynamic setting, you will oversee real-time adherence and intraday decision-making to respond to volume fluctuations and operational disruptions. This role requires a balance of strategic workforce planning, hands-on operational leadership, and data-driven decision-making. You will also partner closely with cross-functional leaders to continuously improve efficiency, staffing models, and service delivery outcomes at scale.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end workforce management strategy, overseeing scheduling, forecasting alignment, and real-time adherence (RTA) functions across multi-disciplinary healthcare and pharmacy operations.
  • Design and optimize dynamic scheduling models that ensure compliance with regulatory staffing ratios, licensure requirements, and service-level agreements.
  • Direct intraday and real-time operations, including escalation protocols and rapid workforce reallocation during volume spikes, outages, or staffing gaps.
  • Manage staffing efficiency strategies, including shrinkage planning, shift bidding, and flexible labor models to balance capacity and demand.
  • Oversee performance monitoring and analytics, ensuring accurate dashboards, reporting, and insights into utilization, occupancy, and SLA performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with pharmacy operations, BPO partners, and leadership teams to resolve staffing constraints and improve execution consistency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workforce trends, identifying inefficiencies, and optimizing scheduling and RTA processes.

Requirements

This role requires extensive experience in workforce management, scheduling operations, and real-time execution within complex, high-volume environments—preferably in healthcare or regulated industries. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capabilities, advanced analytical thinking, and deep familiarity with workforce optimization tools and systems. You should be comfortable managing distributed teams, collaborating across multiple stakeholders, and making fast, data-informed decisions under pressure. Strong technical proficiency with workforce management platforms and reporting tools is essential, along with excellent communication skills to translate complex operational data into actionable insights.

  • 5+ years of experience in workforce management, scheduling, and real-time adherence operations
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing teams in complex operational environments
  • Experience working with BPO partners and cross-functional operational teams
  • Strong background in healthcare, pharmacy, or similarly regulated industries
  • Proficiency with workforce management and analytics tools (e.g., Genesys, Verint, reporting platforms)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft Office, and data-driven reporting environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (10+ years in workforce management considered equivalent)

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range aligned with experience and location
  • Performance-based bonus eligibility
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions
  • Paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and caregiver leave
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Life insurance and additional voluntary benefits
  • Flexible and remote-first working environment (with occasional travel if required)
  • Employee wellness, mental health, and support programs
  • Opportunities for professional development and process leadership growth
