This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide managed testing services and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient QA operations across a global organization. You will define the strategic direction of testing services while driving governance, performance, and continuous improvement across all testing functions. The role combines operational leadership, vendor management, and transformation ownership, including the establishment of a new offshore delivery center to scale capabilities and optimize global testing capacity. You will work closely with senior IT and business stakeholders to align testing strategy with enterprise goals, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation initiatives. This is a highly visible position requiring strong technical depth, leadership capability, and the ability to operate in complex, regulated environments. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of global testing delivery and quality engineering excellence.
Accountabilities:In this role, you will lead the end-to-end strategy, governance, and execution of managed testing services, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. You will oversee global testing operations, vendor relationships, and the development of scalable frameworks that enhance quality, efficiency, and automation across the SDLC.
- Define and execute the enterprise managed testing services roadmap aligned with IT and business strategy
- Establish and govern testing standards, frameworks, and best practices across functional, integration, performance, API, and UAT testing
- Lead and manage global testing teams across multiple geographies, ensuring high performance and consistency
- Oversee MSP/vendor relationships, including contracts, SLAs, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Drive automation, AI/ML-enabled testing, and shift-left quality engineering practices to improve speed and coverage
- Lead the establishment and scaling of an offshore Global Capability Center, including operating model, staffing, and governance
- Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA, EMA, and ICH regulatory requirements for validated systems
- Manage full test lifecycle assets including test cases, scripts, data, plans, and reporting
- Provide executive-level reporting on quality metrics, risk, performance, and service provider health
- Partner cross-functionally with development, infrastructure, security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment and quality outcomes
- Lead vendor negotiations, resource planning, and optimization of service delivery models
- Mentor and develop internal and external teams to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Requirements:
This role requires a highly experienced testing and quality engineering leader with strong expertise in managed services, global delivery models, and regulated environments. You bring deep technical knowledge combined with strategic leadership and vendor management capability in complex enterprise settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 12+ years of progressive experience in IT testing, QA, or managed testing services
- 5+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing global teams
- Strong experience in software testing across SDLC models (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Expertise in test automation tools (Selenium, Tosca, UFT/QTP), performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner), and API testing (Postman, SoapUI)
- Experience with AI/ML-enabled testing approaches and automation frameworks
- Proven experience managing MSPs, outsourcing models, SLAs, and vendor governance
- Demonstrated experience working in GxP-regulated environments and validated systems (CSV, FDA/EMA/ICH compliance)
- Experience establishing or scaling offshore delivery centers or Global Capability Centers, preferably in India
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
- Ability to operate in complex, matrixed organizations with global stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD integration, and cloud-based testing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
