Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma.</p><h3><strong><u>Affiliate Overview</u></strong></h3><p>Eidos Therapeutics, an affiliate within BridgeBio Pharma, is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM).</p><h3><strong><u>What You'll Do</u></strong></h3><p>The Associate Director, Patient Advocacy & Engagement, a member of the transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR) patient advocacy team, engages with patient and community stakeholders to ensure productive and enduring partnerships. This individual will lead outreach to patient advocacy groups and educate and support internal teams, ensuring they are aware of the needs and experiences of patients. This is a critical role for the team because BridgeBio ultimately exists to help patients, and “putting patients first” is a core value.</p><h3><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></h3><ul><li>Build and strengthen relationships with US ATTR advocacy organizations and key community leaders through thoughtful and compliant engagement and alignment on company priorities</li><li>Collaborate and engage with patient advocates and the ATTR community to better understand the patient experience and incorporate those insights throughout BridgeBio</li><li>Represent BridgeBio at advocacy events, reinforcing the company’s commitment to patient-centered innovation</li><li>Liaise with the Medical Affairs, Communications, and Commercial teams to streamline and organize external messaging targeted to the ATTR community</li><li>Communicate key learnings from the patient community to inform cross-functional team strategies</li><li>Inspire a patient-first mentality and culture by communicating the “voice of the patient/care partner” to internal teams and incorporating patient stories, imagery, and unmet needs in company activities and materials</li><li>Other duties as assigned may include leading activities for ATTR and cardiovascular awareness days; partnering on the execution of patient-centric events for those living with ATTR and their care partners; overseeing the creation of lay summaries of scientific content to provide the patient community with deeper knowledge of BridgeBio’s ATTR programs</li></ul><h3><strong><u>Where You'll Work</u></strong></h3><p>This remote position will require significant travel (up to 50%) to patient advocacy-related events and conferences, as well as our San Francisco headquarters. This position may be based on either the East or West Coast of the US.</p><h3><strong><u>Who You Are</u></strong></h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree (or higher); a post-graduate degree in counseling, social work, genetic counseling, public health, nursing, or pharmacy is valued</li><li>5 years in a patient-facing role (industry, nonprofit, clinical, etc.); experience working in a healthcare or nonprofit setting preferred</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build relationships with patient advocates, professional associations, or other stakeholders is required</li><li>Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are required; the candidate should be flexible, personable, and easily collaborate with colleagues and advocates</li><li>The ability to travel up to 50% domestically (primarily on weekends) is required.
