This senior techno-functional role sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, product implementation, and revenue cycle optimization, with a strong focus on denial management and data-driven performance improvement. The position is responsible for ensuring that implementation strategies are grounded in effective workflow design and aligned with both product capabilities and stakeholder objectives. The Associate Director will act as a trusted advisor across discovery, solution design, validation, and adoption phases, helping translate complex healthcare needs into scalable product configurations. Working closely with implementation leadership and cross-functional teams, the role ensures high-quality delivery and measurable operational outcomes. This is a client-facing, highly collaborative position requiring strong analytical and domain expertise. The environment is fast-paced, structured around delivery pods, and focused on driving successful product adoption and healthcare operational transformation.


Accountabilities:

Lead functional discovery, workflow mapping, and current-state assessments to identify gaps in denial management and healthcare revenue cycle processes.

  • Translate stakeholder business needs into structured functional requirements and scalable product-aligned workflows.
  • Provide expert guidance on solution design, product configuration, and implementation best practices.
  • Validate implementation outputs, ensuring alignment with approved designs, product capabilities, and operational goals.
  • Support testing activities including UAT, functional validation, and go-live readiness assessments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on product capabilities, integrations, and constraints, supporting internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Drive stakeholder adoption by advising on future-state workflows, operational change impacts, and optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with implementation, product, and operations teams to ensure execution consistency and delivery quality.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization, product enhancement, and process improvement throughout implementation.

Requirements:
Extensive experience (10+ years) in healthcare operations, healthcare technology, or consulting with a focus on revenue cycle, denial management, or workflow optimization.

  • Strong techno-functional expertise translating business requirements into product-driven workflows and implementation solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare systems such as Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, Meditech, NextGen, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with revenue cycle management processes including patient access, claims, denials, authorization, and analytics workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead client-facing implementation initiatives in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and operational audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure high-quality execution under tight timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications such as PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.
