Job Summary

 

The Associate Director of Field Force Analytics will leverage their strong knowledge of data analytics and proficiency with field force analytics to analyze various forms of field-related data to inform key business decisions for the Cristcot field teams, including field sales and field medical affairs. The Associate Director will develop data analysis plans and execute insightful data analytics to answer key business questions from the field teams. Working collaboratively across the organization, the Associate Director of Field Force Analytics will turn data analytics into actionable insights that will lead to winning business strategies and exceptional brand performance in a competitive ulcerative colitis marketplace.  To be successful, the Associate Director needs excellent project management skills, strong communication skills, and must deliver high quality data analytics and insights that compel clear business action and deliver business results.

 

Primary Relationships

 

  • Within Cristcot, the Associate Director of Field Force Analytics will collaborate closely with cross functional teams, including Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Commercial Operations, etc.
  • Outside Cristcot, the Associate Director of Field Force Analytics will engage with external agency partners, consultants, and advisors.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities

 

The Associate Director of Field Force Analytics is an important role that will guide strategic and tactical business decisions for Cristcot’s field teams by using data analytics expertise, strategic thinking, field force engagement experience, and pharmaceutical business knowledge.  The Associate Director will leverage their data analytics skills to formulate comprehensive data analytics plans, perform insightful analyses, and translate information into actionable recommendations for Cristcot’s field teams.  Moreover, the role involves leading the development, execution and interpretation of data, analytics, insights and models to inform field force business decision making.

 

The activities of the Associate Director of Field Force Analytics will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Manage field force data sources, ensure high data quality, lead data analytics to support the Cristcot field teams, and provide field insights to the home office for performance management.
  • Translate business questions and business needs into data analytics approaches and deliverables that render actionable recommendations for the field to drive brand performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver clear and actionable insights that maximize field force performance and business impact.
  • Provide cutting-edge insights into physicians and market access by using secondary data (e.g., claims data, prescription data, and market access data) as well as internal data sets (e.g., field force promotional data, medical affairs data, CRM, and other data sources).
  • Work closely with Field Teams, Commercial Operations, Market Access, and Marketing teams to analyze various data sources within compliance standards to provide data-driven insights that inform field-based strategies and executional excellence.
  • Collaborate with data science and market research colleagues to create/leverage leading-edge capabilities, streamlined processes, and inspiring deliverables to empower field stakeholders with customer and market insights that drive field force performance (e.g., HCP prescribing for field sales, medical affairs transactional information, among other compliant data analytics processes).
  • Identify, explore, test, and implement innovative field data analytics capabilities, platforms, tools, and processes to stay ahead of the competition and to deliver faster business impact (i.e., Artificial Intelligence, data modeling, prediction algorithms, micro-targeting, and others).

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Advanced degree preferred (master’s or Ph.D.), but no less than bachelor’s degree in data science, business, psychology, statistics, economics, mathematics, life sciences, computer science, or a related field that requires data analytics skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical data science, data/brand analytics, field force analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (i.e., SQL, Python, R) and experience with business intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Zoho Analytics, others).
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources such as IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony Health, MMIT, and other secondary data sources.  Knowledge of and experience with longitudinal patient data and claims data preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and collaborating with data analytics agencies that service the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and storytelling skills to translate data analytics and insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15%.
