WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Assoc. Director, Product Manager, US LillyDirect to lead the development and optimization of key commerce & experience flows for specific domains within the LillyDirect product experience! This includes shaping how consumers create and manage accounts, transact for goods & services, and manage post-purchase needs—ensuring every step is intuitive, compliant, and conversion-focused.

You will own your area end-to-end, partnering with engineering, design, BI&A, and GTM to move work from insight to delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Consumer Product Experience to ensure your work aligns with the broader consumer strategy and platform direction. The ideal candidate brings strong product thinking, operational discipline, and a passion for delivering mutual value to consumers and the business.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Own and optimize the e-commerce and transactional areas of the LillyDirect Digital First, Human when needed, experience—ensuring the journey from qualified traffic to conversion is clear, seamless, and high-performing.

  • Define and deliver key functionality related to account creation experience, secure data collection (consents, payment info, shipping info), purchase flows, and order tracking.

  • Shape product requirements, write user stories, and lead a prioritized backlog aligned to funnel performance and business outcomes.

  • Partner with the GTM team to understand incoming traffic quality and coordinate on shared conversion goals and insights.

  • Monitor and improve KPIs related to commerce funnel drop-off, conversion rate, and consumer friction.

  • Use data and consumer research to drive iterative enhancements and test-and-learn opportunities within your product area.

  • Create product briefs, concept documents, and strategic recommendations for upcoming initiatives.

  • Escalate risks and propose pivots based on consumer insights, behavioral patterns, or performance data.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure launch readiness, compliance alignment, and smooth handoffs across internal systems.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll be part of a collaborative team reporting to the Senior Director – Consumer Product Experience. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners in engineering, UX/design, marketing, BI&A, compliance, and operations.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of direct digital product management experience driving business critical business objectives, user-experience strategy, or e-commerce experience design

  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES

  • Demonstrable experience delivering high-quality consumer-facing consumer journey and digital experiences

  • Comfortable working with agile teams and writing clear, actionable product requirements

  • Familiarity with product discovery, journey mapping, or experimentation practices

  • Ability to connect product KPIs with business outcomes

  • Experience in healthcare, e-commerce, or other regulated environments

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate what’s being built and why

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Figma, UserTesting, Amplitude, or similar

  • Strong preference for position to be Indianapolis-based

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$122,250 - $179,300

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
