POSITION TITLE: Associate Director, Constituency Programs
LOCATION: Michigan/Ann Arbor/Lansing/Detroit/Varies
STATUS: Full Time, Exempt
Wage: $70,000 per year
Travel Required: 25%; Occasional travel to health centers in the state of MI and travel for conferences and PPFA meetings.

Position Description:
Reporting to the Director of Political Field Operations the PPAM Associate Director, Constituency Programs is responsible for managing PPAM's centralized statewide programs, projects, initiatives, volunteer, and internship programs. The Associate Director, Constituency Programs will manage the development and implementation of program related advocacy and civic engagement work that align to the organizationβs mission and strategic goals.
Essential Functions:
Leadership
β Actively participates in management meetings.
β Active thought partner in planning and creation of strategic initiatives within the PPAM team.
β Responsible for program outcomes and goals of the PPAM strategic plan.
β Responsible for supervising and managing the program and civic engagement staff including RAIZ, Black Organizing Program, Generation Action and Patient Advocacy Program leaders.
β Responsible for reporting regularly on program outcomes.
Program Management
β Contribute to cross-movement efforts that center sexual and reproductive health, patient outcomes, and service delivery in light of socioeconomic and political threats to the social and reproductive health outcomes and the economic wellbeing of historically marginalized communities.
β Provide onboarding and support for staff as it relates to the implementation of programs under the purview of this position.
β In partnership with the Program Organizers, the Associate Program Director will manage the development and implementation of the health center advocacy, Black Organizing, RAIZ organizing, GenAction, Civic Engagement and internship programs across Michigan.
β Develop and implement programs that engage Planned Parenthood staff and patients in Planned Parenthood's Advocacy Initiatives.
β Develop trainings and training materials as it relates to the implementation of programs under the purview of this position.
β Manage the coordination of rapid response events and serve as the chair of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michiganβs Action Summit in a lead planner role.
β Responsible for successfully integrating voter education and engagement around democracy issues into our broader advocacy and organizing programs.
β Manage, guide and implement civic engagement programs to promote voting access for all, via education and outreach opportunities.
Volunteer Management
β Support the coordination of statewide volunteer and intern recruitment, training, engagement, retention, and recognition.
β Motivate and recognize volunteers and plan statewide recognition activities annually.
β Create and track volunteer pathway/leadership development plans for program staff and volunteers.
β Support the recruitment of patient storytellers.
Advocacy, & Civic Engagement Grant Management
β Work with PPFA, PPAM Leadership, PPAM Regional Community Organizers and PPAM Program Organizers to assess capacity for PPAMβs programmatic work.
β Under the direction of the Director of Political Field Operations and the PPAM Executive Director and VP for Public Advocacy, the Associate Program Director, will draft grant proposals for funding, develop program goals and support the implementation of programmatic work.
β Track and report on program related grants and develop measures of success and regularly monitors and reports on metrics.
Other Responsibilities
β Maintain relationships with PPFA and other vendors as it relates to the purview of the position.
β Manage external customer service/supporter/volunteer inquiry or membership relations requests (management of the PPAM GSuite, Google Voice, DocuSign Volunteer Paperwork Account, etc.)
β Interpret program effectiveness and recommend changes to departmental policies and procedures as needed.
β Reviews progress of assignments with PPAM senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:
Five to seven years of relevant experience in Community or Field Organizing, Political Science, Social Justice and/or Community Engagement work, or related fields
OR
Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by hiring decision makers.
