We are seeking a motivated and versatile Associate DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role will be responsible for a blend of traditional IT support tasks and foundational DevOps practices, contributing to the stability, efficiency, and automation of our infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate has an intrinsic desire to learn and an ability to navigate ambiguity.
IT Support (Approximately 50%):
Provide first-line technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and productivity applications.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within various systems and applications.
Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account creation/termination and equipment setup.
Document common IT issues and solutions in a knowledge base.
Entry-level DevOps (Approximately 50%)
Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of our cloud-based infrastructure.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Learn to use infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for managing infrastructure.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of basic monitoring and alerting dashboards.
Participate in team discussions and contribute to improving our development and operations workflows.
1-2 years of experience in an IT support role or relevant internships.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Exposure to or interest in DevOps principles and practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.
The IT & Infrastructure Associate reports directly to the DevOps Manager, David Bogen.
