ASSOCIATE CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS ANALYST – BIRMINGHAM, AL, LEWISVILLE, TX, REMOTE

Job Description:

WideOrbit is looking for a dynamic Associate Credit and Collections Analyst to join our finance and accounting team. This position has dual responsibilities for collections and performing operational credit and collections department procedures. The Associate Credit and Collections Analyst will be responsible for effectively using all information sources to make important decisions in line with WideOrbit’s accounting policies.  To be successful in this role, the Analyst needs to effectively communicate upward and laterally to complete day to day tasks.

Here is what success will look like:

  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate, current receivables aging for a portfolio of customers, under the guidance of senior team members
  • Ensure all invoices are resolved in a timely manner so that there are no aged balances over 90 days past due and at least 80% of open balances are current
  • Periodically apply cash receipts with accuracy and an emphasis on quality control
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancy issues with customers
  • Work with the billing team to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales and senior leadership, to support timely issue resolution and collections efforts
  • Prepare Accounts Receivable reports including metrics, while working with supervisors to produce effective communications for senior management
  • Monitor customer accounts and notify Supervisor of any potential Bad Debt exposure
  • Submit ideas to help streamline and improve the credit and collections team processes
  •  Assist in evaluating customer creditworthiness as needed, in partnership with senior team members Proactively place credit holds on high-risk clients, and release credit holds when appropriate
  • Send delinquent accounts to outside third-party collection agencies

To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience preferred
  •  0-2 years’ experience in corporate collections or a related administrative/accounting role preferred
  • Familiarization with billing departments and procedures
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics F&O and CRM a plus
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and goal oriented
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with sales, legal, billing, and other departments

Location:

This position is 100% Remote (U.S. based) or can be based in any of our WideOrbit offices.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000
