Responsibilities
- Prepare and review activity data to be utilized for billing based upon most current customer contract terms.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to meet financial reporting deadlines as part of month close cycle.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing, including overcharges, undercharges, and payment errors.
- Work closely with clients and internal departments to clarify and correct billing issues.
- Leverage reporting and data within Skillable systems including Skillable TMS, Skillable Studio, Stripe Payment, Braintree Payment, Avalara Sales Tax, etc. to execute on billing processing and addressing questions or issues from internal and external stakeholders.
- Regularly and proactively collaborate with the support or sales teams to address any client concerns regarding invoices.
- Provide support to sales team regarding billing history, contracts and new account set up.
- Reconcile ecommerce transactions and associated reporting.
- Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits and applicable stakeholders.
- Assist Accounting and Finance team members with weekly and monthly operational priorities as requested.
- Support and promote the company values through positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Other strategic business initiatives or special cross-functional project involvement as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 1-2+ years of relevant professional experience in billing or GAAP accounting standards.
- Skillable platform experience a plus, but not required.
- Naturally protective of sensitive business data and experience executing confidentiality.
- Experience working on a team, within a singular department or cross-departmentally, focused on driving toward common goals.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally to various audiences internally or externally through various mediums.
- Proactive engagement with stakeholders, colleagues and customers related to status updates and reminders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload and meet project deadlines.
- Microsoft suite experience, including teams or similar web conferencing and internal communication software experience preferred.
- Naturally inquisitive with a desire learn and contribute.
- Experience working in a fully remote team is preferred, but not required.
- Basic understanding (or willingness to learn expeditiously) of standard business operations and processes.
Salary Range
The base salary for this position is $56,000 - $65,000 annually. This range does not include at plan potential for commissions and/or quarterly upsides. This role is not eligible for Skillable’s corporate bonus plan. Consistent with applicable laws, compensation will be determined based on the candidate's level, relevant skills, qualifications, and experience along with requirements for the position and annual financial plans.
Skillable is a distributed first team with employees working across the U.S., and we do not consider geography when determining compensation ranges.
Please note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Skillable reserves the right to modify this compensation range at any time.
Pay range and current benefit offerings are effective for 90 days from posting date. Standard employment offerings are subject to potential change upon periodic review and analysis, at the discretion of Skillable.

Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a remote home office setting, requiring a space that supports privacy and focus to attend to regular and frequent video and voice calls. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Periodic travel may be required equaling up to approximately 10% of the time.
