Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations is a remote/field-based scientific expert responsible for communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, providing medical and scientific information on the appropriate utilization of therapy(s), and advancing therapeutic disease state knowledge. The Assoc. Director/Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations is a core member of the Medical Affairs Team, leveraging a scientific approach aligned with medical affairs objectives and therapeutic area medical plans. The Assoc. Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations will be experienced, working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, specifically with product launch planning, rare disorders, or underdiagnosed patient populations.  This includes developing and executing a comprehensive field medical strategy plan, planning coverage and attending conferences, conducting trainings for field medical team and other cross-functional counterparts, delivering scientific presentations, and scientific exchange with physicians and other healthcare providers.  This role will be critical to compliantly evolving field medical initiatives, analytical reporting (insights and field activity), content development, conference coverage, and training for new hires across the organization.This position reports to the National Head, Field Medical Affairs, and will require extensive travel, sometimes involving weekends. Key Responsibilities Assigned responsibilities for the Assoc. Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations<ul><li>Partner with Head of Medical Affairs to define field medical strategy, HCP engagement plans, and coverage approach to meet company-defined goals within corporate and regulatory guidelines for products both marketed and in development</li><li>Assist with development and implement frameworks for field effectiveness, including KPIs, activity metrics, and qualitative impact measures</li><li>Support field medical launch readiness (territory design, targeting, resource planning)</li><li>Support and drive coordination of a robust conference plan, coverage, and reporting with an expectation to attend and providing active coverage/reporting for global/national/regional conferences</li><li>Maintain clinical/technical expertise in specific therapeutic areas; review scientific journals, attend scientific and key technical meetings in territory and share learnings with key stakeholders</li></ul>Operations, Insights & Analytics<ul><li>Evolve and manage core operational systems (CRM, insights platforms, dashboards)</li><li>Establish scalable processes for field planning, interaction reporting, and compliance</li><li>Design and operationalize a field insights generation, reporting and dissemination model</li><li>Partner cross-functionally (Clinical, Commercial, HEOR) to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations</li><li>Assist with developing reporting dashboards to track trends, engagement quality, and strategic impact</li></ul>Training & Capabilities<ul><li>Partner with Medical Training to identify capability gaps and support ongoing development of the field medical team</li><li>Create tools and resources to improve field execution (e.g., engagement guides, scientific narratives)</li><li>Fostering a team culture of accountability and develop a proactive approach to growing skillsets</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure high quality presentations and interactions through quantitative and qualitative field medical data tracking</li></ul><ul><li>Fostering a team culture of accountability and develop a proactive approach to growing skillsets</li></ul><ul><li>Developing relationships with various healthcare professionals and providing them with credible, fair, balanced, scientific information about product development, research activities, and therapy(s)</li><li>Be a extended source of balanced medical information for HCPs and will be skilled in issues management and addressing unsolicited questions about safety and potential off-label use of products based on available scientific data</li></ul> Career Development: <ul><li>BridgeBio/QED offers comprehensive career development programming, including guidance, targeted training opportunities, and mentorship programming. A career development pathway for MEDICAL AFFAIRS has been defined and is available to employees of BridgeBio/QED</li></ul> Where You'll Work This is a remote, field-based position based in the United States. Who You Are <ul><li>Candidates with a PharmD, Ph.D., MD, as well as other advanced healthcare degrees or relevant experience, will be considered</li><li>5+ years of medical affairs or field medical excellence experience with a verifiable record of high performance is preferred</li><li>Prior experience in rare diseases and/or skeletal dysplasia is preferred</li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills (including networking)</li><li>Able to participate in a scientific dialogue with KOLs and researchers</li><li>Excellent teaching skills and ability to present and discuss scientific material clearly and concisely</li><li>Proven ability to create and sustain relationships with industry leaders</li><li>Skilled in clinical research and an understanding of the process of pharmaceutical product development and approval</li><li>Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively with minimal supervision in a constantly changing environment</li><li>Travel 50-70% of the time depending on territory size; overnight and weekend work will be involved with some variation based upon the demands of the business imperatives</li><li>Occasional international travel may be required</li><li>All candidates must reside in the United States</li></ul> Rewarding Those Who Make the Mission Possible We have high expectations for our team members.
