As an Assistant Program Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic success of a community-focused program. You will oversee daily activities, supervise staff, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to provide high-quality services that support individuals and families at risk of homelessness. This role combines operational management with hands-on involvement, requiring strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. You will help shape program policies, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance with reporting and contractual obligations. The position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact in the community, work collaboratively with a dedicated team, and support the growth and development of program staff. Accountabilities

·        Assist the Program Director in overall management, strategic planning, and program oversight.

·        Supervise and support program staff, including case managers, supervisors, and administrative personnel.

·        Ensure daily operations run smoothly, services are delivered effectively, and program goals and contractual requirements are met.

·        Monitor staff performance, conduct regular supervision, and support professional development initiatives.

·        Oversee accurate and timely documentation in case management systems, assist with quality assurance reviews, and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

·        Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support program coordination and client needs.

·        Address escalated client concerns or programmatic issues, providing solutions and guidance.

·        Participate in staff hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.

·        Conduct community outreach to increase program visibility and recruit potential clients.

·        Review and analyze program data to identify trends, inform improvements, and support decision-making.

Requirements

·        Master’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field.

·        Bilingual language skills preferred.

·        Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business technology.

·        Ability to supervise staff, coordinate workflows, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·        Commitment to client-centered service delivery and collaborative teamwork.

·        Ability to travel locally for client visits and program activities, and perform light physical tasks such as lifting up to 10 pounds or navigating stairs.
