As an Assistant Program Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic success of a community-focused program. You will oversee daily activities, supervise staff, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to provide high-quality services that support individuals and families at risk of homelessness. This role combines operational management with hands-on involvement, requiring strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. You will help shape program policies, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance with reporting and contractual obligations. Accountabilities

·        Assist the Program Director in overall management, strategic planning, and program oversight.

·        Supervise and support program staff, including case managers, supervisors, and administrative personnel.

·        Ensure daily operations run smoothly, services are delivered effectively, and program goals and contractual requirements are met.

·        Monitor staff performance, conduct regular supervision, and support professional development initiatives.

·        Oversee accurate and timely documentation in case management systems, assist with quality assurance reviews, and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

·        Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support program coordination and client needs.

·        Address escalated client concerns or programmatic issues, providing solutions and guidance.

·        Participate in staff hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.

·        Conduct community outreach to increase program visibility and recruit potential clients.

·        Review and analyze program data to identify trends, inform improvements, and support decision-making.

Requirements

·        Master’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field.

·        Bilingual language skills preferred.

·        Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business technology.

·        Ability to supervise staff, coordinate workflows, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·        Commitment to client-centered service delivery and collaborative teamwork.

·        Ability to travel locally for client visits and program activities, and perform light physical tasks such as lifting up to 10 pounds or navigating stairs.
