Role Overview

Trio Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a full-time, remote Asia Semiconductor Buyer / Trader to support our global independent distribution business.

This role is intended only for experienced professionals from semiconductor broker, independent distribution, or trading companies. You must already understand spot-market execution, supplier credibility, price volatility, and fast-turn trading dynamics across Asia.

This is not an OEM, authorized distribution, or junior sourcing role. We are not training entry-level candidates.

Who This Role Is For

This role is a fit if you:

  • Have worked at a semiconductor broker, independent distributor, or trading company
  • Maintain active supplier and trading relationships across Asia
  • Regularly execute spot-market semiconductor trades
  • Understand date codes, packaging, partial availability, and sourcing risk
  • Can operate independently in a fast-moving trading environment
  • Speak fluent English (written and verbal)

If your background is limited to authorized procurement, OEM purchasing, or administrative sourcing support, this role is not a fit.

Key Responsibilities

Semiconductor Buying & Trading (Asia)

  • Source semiconductor components through Asia broker/trading networks to support shortage, EOL, and spot-market demand
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQ, and delivery terms
  • Evaluate supply for risk, credibility, and feasibility before commitment
  • Execute buys quickly and communicate confirmed supply details accurately

Supplier & Trading Network Management

  • Maintain and expand broker and trading-partner relationships across Asia
  • Develop multiple sourcing options to improve pricing and reliability
  • Leverage market knowledge to secure supply under tight conditions

Market Intelligence & Pricing Support

  • Track real-time pricing and availability shifts across key components
  • Advise U.S. sales teams on feasibility, pricing expectations, and constraints
  • Proactively surface supply opportunities rather than only responding to RFQs

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with U.S.-based sales and operations teams
  • Provide complete, clean buy details for PO execution and inbound tracking
  • Maintain consistent communication aligned with U.S. business hours

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

  • 3–7+ years experience at a semiconductor broker, independent distributor, or trading company
  • Proven experience buying/trading semiconductors in Asia spot markets
  • Existing supplier and trading relationships across Asia
  • Strong understanding of:
    • date codes and packaging (reel/tray/tube)
    • partial availability and split fulfillment
    • broker sourcing risk and credibility
  • Fluent English (must communicate clearly with U.S. teams)

Compensation

Competitive, performance-driven compensation aligned with experience and contribution. Details discussed with qualified candidates only.
