The Area Training Manager, Southeast is accountable for the strategy and execution of Area commercial education needs across all Surgery’s key surgical specialties (General Surgery, Bariatric, Colorectal, Gynecology/Urology, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Neuro-Spine, HPB) and product platforms (EndoMechanical, Biosurgery, Energy and Wound Closure). This will be achieved through strong clinical knowledge along with exceptional collaboration with Commercial Education leadership, as well as their aligned Area Vice President and Regional Sales Managers. They are also responsible for supporting key in-house training labs, practicums, and the NSM.
This role is not responsible for running (but may be asked to support) Foundations, Advanced, Masters, etc.
The Area Training Manager, US Commercial Education has responsibility for: Partnering with Sales leadership to assess and address Area-specific training needs, as well as assisting with specific in-house training labs and practicums. This individual is responsible for adhering to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as Company Health Care Compliance policies.
In this role, you will:
Train sales representatives in areas of need including product and procedure knowledge, business acumen, selling skills, etc.
Deliver virtual and in-person Commercial Education training programs
Recommend new approaches, techniques and ideas that will assist sales representatives in meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
Develop individual skills to become more effective in training, developing people, coaching, communicating, and team building.
Manage priorities to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Understand and utilize existing and new technology to effectively reach multiple stakeholders to engage and reinforce key learning concepts throughout the Education Continuum; optimize the education modality for the most effective and efficient approach.
Comply with all company training, safety, and Compliance policies.
Achieve and maintain clinical and disease state knowledge to create effective and accurate learning solutions for Commercial Education.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree is required
3 years of business experience is required
Identified as a leader in key specialties aligned to the role (General Surgery, Bariatric, Colorectal, Gynecology/Urology, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Neuro-Spine, HPB)
Deep knowledge of the EndoMechanical, Biosurgery, Energy and Wound Closure portfolios
Demonstrated ability in healthcare industry Sales, Marketing or Professional Education is required, preferably within Medical Device or Technology
Applicants must be willing to travel up to 60% within their designated Area, as well as corporate offices in OH and NJ.
Preferred:
Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and Instructional design experience, e.g.; building curriculum for Healthcare providers
Experience in designing distance learning
Experience in telementoring, surgical simulation and innovative training modalities.
Faculty interaction/management Other Skills & Abilities:
Administrative skills – budget, reports, audits, database management
Ability to translate insights & needs into education solutions
Demonstrates creative, practical problem-solving skills

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$102,000.00 - $177,100.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
