Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager is a self-motivated professional who is responsible for all Clinical Health related sales activities in the assigned geography.  They will collaborate with internal personnel and functional teams to effectively maintain and grow existing customers.  They will actively seek out new business opportunities and develop these into new customer partners.   This position reports to the National Sales Director – Clinical Health.  This position covers Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the sales execution of Avadim Health product(s) within their geographic territory to any/all targeted or existing clinical health accounts
  • Build a professional network of clinical support and referral sources
  • Responsible for delivering sales results as assigned annually by Avadim leadership
  • Attend national and regional/state conferences as assigned
  • Support company sales initiatives, including use of approved marketing pieces, sales presentations, and clinical studies
  • Master appropriate delivery of the research, clinical studies and publications supporting the brand
  • Utilize appropriate routing based upon strategic thinking and targeting/retention of accounts
  • Utilize approved CRM regularly as instructed by leadership
  • Submit all expense reports in a timely fashion, as instructed by National Sales Director
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned by Avadim leadership as necessary

Required Skills/Abilities:

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.

·        Experienced in presenting to the C-suite level of Hospital Management

·        Ability to navigate the hospital and overcome sales obstacles

·        Familiarity with the Challenger or other selling models

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

·        Ability to meet and present using TEAMS or ZOOM meetings

·   Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods

 

Required minimum education and experience:

·        Bachelors Degree

·        3-5 years experience in the Acute care market.  Preference given to those with Infection Prevention and or wound care experience

·        This is a mid-senior level sales position.  Entry level will not be considered.

·        Basic knowledge of the Acute care market, including GPOs, Supply Chain navigation and vendor credentialing services

·        Basic knowledge of the Post-Acute market, including LTC, Clinic, Rehab, Surgery Centers

 

Entry as a “Senior” Area Sales Manager will be considered if the following is true:

·        5+ years of proven success/achieving sales quota in the above mentioned market

·        Minimum of 2 years achieving company Sales awards for top performance (Top 10%)

 

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Travel required: This position requires the ability to drive within the assigned territory by automobile (and in some instances to travel by airplane). Company vehicle is provided. Valid US Drivers.

Must have a credit card with the ability to incur travel and meal expenses. All appropriate/approved company business expenses are reimbursed.
