This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Architectural Project Manager in New York (USA).

In this role, you will lead complex architectural projects from concept through completion, ensuring excellence in design, delivery, and client satisfaction. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee consultant coordination, and drive project execution across schedules, budgets, and quality standards. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to successfully guide projects while fostering collaboration, mentoring staff, and nurturing long-term client relationships. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the project management culture and delivering innovative architectural solutions in a dynamic, creative environment.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary client contact, developing strong, long-term relationships through proactive communication and reliable project delivery.
  • Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Manage all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through documentation, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Oversee internal teams, consultants, and contractors, ensuring alignment with design intent, milestones, and contractual obligations.
  • Track project deliverables, facilitate issue resolution, and maintain thorough documentation of decisions and progress.
  • Conduct site visits, review submittals and RFIs, and monitor construction to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Mentor and guide project teams, fostering professional growth and promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Support business development efforts through proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and participation in client presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field; Licensed Architect preferred.
  • LEED AP, WELL AP, CPHD, or other sustainability credentials are a plus.
  • 10–20 years of progressively responsible experience in architectural practice, including at least 3 years in project management.
  • Proven success managing large, complex projects across multiple typologies (commercial, workplace, institutional, etc.).
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation tools; familiarity with project management platforms such as Deltek Vision, Microsoft Project, OneNote, SharePoint, Newforma, and Microsoft Teams is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, ADA requirements, and construction processes.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead diverse teams with clarity and empathy, and approach problems proactively.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and business development initiatives.
