You’ll apply high-level engineering concepts to solve real-world challenges and help shape custom solutions for our clients. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide pre-order engineering support to the Sales and Quotations group.</li><li>Collaborate with design engineering, mechanical, and production teams to develop innovative solutions for unique applications.</li><li>Provide a high-level review of customer orders before handing them off to Design Engineering, making sure that order entry is correct and the information provided is complete including plans, specifications and CD&E from Sales as applicable. Provide comments as needed and point out discrepancies to ensure a smooth transition to Design Engineering.</li><li>Provide input to the Product Engineering team for continuous improvements of the IEM product guides.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist in building a library of standard design details, tools, and CAD resources for repeatable applications.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, UL, IEEE) during product and order evaluations.</li><li>Provide ongoing technical consultation to internal sales and engineering teams.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or other relevant engineering discipline.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in design, applications, or field service roles with a focus on power products.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with AutoCAD</li><li>Switchgear design experience.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and single line diagrams (SLD).</li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of three-phase electric power systems, including distribution, control, protection strategies, and rotating machines considered an asset</li><li>Familiarity with UL and IEEE standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20, etc.) and the National Electric Code.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and able to work independently.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>The salary range for this role is $120,000 -$180,000 per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Location </strong></p><p>This position is available in multiple locations, including Remote , Tualatin (OR), and Jacksonville (FL).</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Why Join IEM</strong></p><p>At IEM, you’ll join a team that powers some of the world’s most ambitious projects.
