About the role

AiGent is seeking an exceptional Application & Integration Engineer to lead development of our customer-facing platform. You'll architect and build modern web applications using Blazor or React (Blazor preferred, but we welcome strong React developers) with a robust .NET backend infrastructure.

This is a strategic technical role where you'll translate business requirements into valuable platform features that serve our customers, installers, and internal teams. You'll own critical platform components including real-time dashboards for generator monitoring and scheduling, streamlined onboarding workflows, and sophisticated role-based access management systems.

As a key technical contributor, you'll design and implement APIs that seamlessly connect our frontend applications with AWS cloud services, TimescaleDB, and mobile applications. You'll work closely with our Cloud Engineering team to ensure reliable data flows from edge devices through our cloud infrastructure to end users, while maintaining the security and performance standards required for mission-critical energy infrastructure.

This role offers the opportunity to shape both the technical architecture and user experience of a platform that's transforming how distributed energy resources are managed and monetized in the evolving power grid.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Blazor/React-based web portal for customers and installers.
  • Develop .NET APIs that integrate with AWS Lambdas, IoT Core, and TimescaleDB.
  • Implement user management with role-based access control (RBAC) and feature flags.
  • Create dashboards for real-time telemetry, generator health, and DR events.
  • Support automated testing of application flows and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineer to ensure data flows correctly from device → cloud → user.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-stack experience with .NET.
  • Proficiency in Blazor for building modern web apps.
  • Experience building and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of AWS integrations (Lambdas, IoT Core, EC2).
  • Familiarity with TimescaleDB/PostgreSQL as a backend data source.
  • Experience with role-based access and secure application design.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Software Engineering or related field
  • Expertise with generator technologies
  • Experience with standby/backup power systems, emergency generators and distributed generation assets
  • Experience with renewable energy assets, storage systems or distributed energy resources

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: Base, bonus and early-stage company equity
  • Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k)
  • 100% of Health, Dental and Vision premiums are covered for FTEs
  • We offer two health plan options: a traditional plan with an FSA and a high-deductible plan with an HSA that the company contributes to monthly
  • Basic Term Life Insurance
  • Other Voluntary Insurances
  • Flexible PTO
  • Remote work benefits: Work from anywhere in the U.S. - no commuting
  • Opportunity to shape the future of the energy transition
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment

We are hiring a world-class team and we believe deeply in offering world-class benefits.
