Key Duties and Responsibilities


Trade Booking and Settlements

  • Ensure accurate trade capture in the Accounting Book of Records (ABOR)
  • Oversee timely settlements and resolve discrepancies with asset managers and custodians
  • Support asset transfers aligned with portfolio and business needs

Data Validation and Security Master Management

  • Validate security master data and perform quality checks on trade and position data
  • Monitor data integrity and support monthly/quarterly reporting cycles

Private Asset Expertise

  • Apply knowledge of private assets (e.g., derivatives, alternatives, real estate) to support booking, valuation, and compliance.
  • Implement workflows for complex instruments in line with policies

Onboarding New Transactions

  • Standardize onboarding processes for new transactions and asset classes
  • Identify data sources and ensure integration into financial systems
  • Document procedures and maintain operational work papers

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with internal teams and external managers to support operations
  • Drive process improvements and support due diligence for third-party providers

Other duties as assigned


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent. CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 2-6 years of work experience in the financial services industry; experience in reinsurance, or insurance asset management strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with trade lifecycle management, including trade booking, settlements, and position reconciliations
  • Proficiency in analyzing and managing security master data
  • Familiarity with complex private investment assets classes such as Derivatives, Securitized assets, Real Estate assets
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analytics tools a plus
  • Experience with Clearwater Application
  • Strong work ethic with high standards for performance and ability to take initiative
  • A strong sense of urgency, results-orientation, and a problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation and Location

  • Competitive salary, bonus and benefits package commensurate with experience.
  • Location: Charlotte, NC / Bermuda

Travel Requirements

  • Periodic travel to Martello Re offices for internal meetings, as needed.
