This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI System Architect based in the United States.

The AI System Architect will play a key role in designing and shaping next-generation artificial intelligence and high-performance computing solutions.
This position focuses on defining advanced AI system architectures that support complex customer needs and emerging technology initiatives.
The role combines deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on collaboration across engineering teams.
You will influence technology roadmaps, guide solution development, and help deliver innovative AI platforms at scale.
Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with technical experts, customers, and leadership teams to solve challenging problems.

Accountabilities:

The AI System Architect will be responsible for defining technical strategies, designing advanced AI solutions, and supporting the development of high-performance computing and AI infrastructure platforms. The role requires strong architectural expertise, the ability to influence strategic decisions, and collaboration across multiple technical and business teams.

  • Own the overall AI system architecture strategy for advanced AI and high-performance computing infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop technology roadmaps and architectural strategies across multiple platforms and product areas.
  • Collaborate with AI specialists, system architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver complex solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, design input, and architectural reviews across multiple organizations.
  • Communicate AI strategies, architectures, and technology visions to executives, customers, and industry partners.
  • Influence technical direction and business decisions through recognized expertise in AI systems and infrastructure.
  • Mentor engineers and technical professionals, promoting innovation and excellence in AI system design.
  • Support the identification and development of future technical leaders.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize AI systems, software, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic engagements involving advanced AI deployments and customer requirements.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in AI technologies, high-performance computing, and large-scale system architecture. This role requires a strong technical background, strategic mindset, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively with both technical and executive audiences.

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience working with AI and high-performance computing technologies.
  • Typically 15+ years of overall professional experience in technology, engineering, or related domains.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering AI systems and solutions that address real-world challenges.
  • Deep understanding of AI system technologies, architectures, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of high-performance computing environments and AI platforms.
  • Experience with AI-for-science applications or advanced research-driven AI use cases is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and communicate technical architectures, design proposals, and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience working across business units and technical teams to deliver complex solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at executive levels.
  • Experience contributing to industry standards, technical communities, or innovation initiatives is preferred.
