About Sevaro Health
Sevaro Health is a physician-led, AI-powered virtual neurology and telestroke company partnering with hospitals across the country, with a significant presence in rural and underserved communities. We exist to ensure that where you live does not determine whether you survive a stroke. Our Synapse AI platform powers real-time stroke routing, clinical documentation, and workflow optimization. We are not a call center. We are clinicians building technology for clinicians.
About The Role
We are looking for a driven, AI-forward professional who is passionate about using technology to solve real operational and organizational challenges. As our AI Operations Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our organization’s AI transformation, embedded across departments including clinical and corporate operations, growth and client success, and more. You will play an integral role in identifying inefficiencies and delivering intelligent, data-driven solutions that make a measurable difference.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact opportunity. You will work at the intersection of AI, data, and operations in the healthcare space, collaborating directly with department leaders to redesign workflows, automate manual processes, and surface insights that drive smarter decision-making. If you are energized by fast-moving projects, enjoy working across teams, and want your contributions to be felt organization-wide, this role is for you.
What You Will Do
AI-Driven Workflow Optimization
Collaborate with department leaders across clinical, administrative, and operational teams to assess current workflows and identify high-value opportunities for AI-powered improvement.
Design, prototype, and deploy intelligent tools — including AI automation, data pipelines, and analytical solutions — that deliver tangible efficiency gains.
Operate with a build-and-iterate mindset: launch working solutions quickly, incorporate real-world feedback, and continuously refine for greater impact.
Translate complex operational challenges into clearly defined technical solutions and see them through from concept to delivery.
Organization-Wide Collaboration & Impact
Serve as the dedicated AI partner for each operations department, conducting discovery sessions, facilitating working groups, and co-developing solutions alongside the teams that will use them.
Apply a thorough understanding of healthcare-specific requirements — including regulatory compliance, HIPAA, clinical workflows, and payer dynamics — to every solution you build.
Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline staff to senior leadership, translating technical work into meaningful business outcomes.
Analytics, Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Define KPIs and success metrics for each initiative and maintain rigorous tracking to demonstrate ROI and operational value.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools that surface performance insights and enable data-informed decision-making across departments.
Maintain a prioritized pipeline of improvement opportunities and proactively advance the most impactful ones.
Serve as an internal champion for an AI-first culture, helping teams across the organization build confidence and fluency with new tools and approaches.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of direct experience in AI optimization, operations, data science, or data analytics, with a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in a real-world setting.
Experience working within a healthcare organization — such as clinical operations, health IT, health tech, or a related field — with a solid understanding of how healthcare environments operate.
Exposure to AI/ML tools, data pipelines, workflow automation, or analytical platforms, and a genuine enthusiasm for exploring new technologies.
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to break down complex operational problems into clear, actionable solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical colleagues and non-technical stakeholders with equal clarity and confidence.
A proactive, self-directed work style with a demonstrated track record of taking initiative and delivering results on tight timelines.
You’ll Stand Out If You Have
Hackathon experience — whether as a participant, mentor, or organizer — and the fast-paced, problem-solving mindset that comes with it.
Hands-on experience with AI tools such as prompt engineering, LLM-based applications, or automated data workflows.
Familiarity with healthcare data standards, EHR platforms (such as Epic or Cerner), or healthcare compliance frameworks.
A portfolio of personal or academic projects, open-source contributions, or prototypes that reflect genuine curiosity and a builder’s instinct.
Experience facilitating workshops, process discovery sessions, or cross-functional working groups with non-technical teams.
What Sets This Role Apart
This is a meaningful opportunity to grow alongside an organization that is actively investing in AI as a core part of how it operates. You will have direct visibility into multiple business functions, contribute to initiatives that affect real outcomes for patients and staff, and build a broad portfolio of impact early in your career. We are a team that values curiosity, rewards initiative, and is genuinely excited about what is possible when the right person has the right tools and the freedom to use them.
