Our secure, no-code platform transforms complex technical documents, manuals, procedures, and operational data into trusted, structured knowledge that powers both human experts and AI agents.</p><p class="p3">We’re looking for a part-time Applied AI Engineer to help build the next generation of enterprise AI. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, product leaders, and AI researchers to develop production-grade AI capabilities that solve real-world problems across defense, manufacturing, customer support, and other knowledge-intensive industries.</p><h2><span class="s1"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></h2><ul><li>Design and build AI applications powered by LLMs, RAG, semantic search, and AI agents.</li><li>Develop intelligent pipelines for document ingestion, knowledge extraction, and retrieval.</li><li>Improve answer quality through prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and retrieval optimization.</li><li>Build and optimize production AI services using Python and modern AI frameworks.</li><li>Work with agentic development tools including Cursor, Codex and AI-assisted coding workflows.</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with a strong focus on quality and reliability.</li><li>Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data science teams to rapidly prototype and ship new capabilities.</li><li>Evaluate emerging AI models, tools, and techniques to continuously improve the platform.</li></ul><h2><span class="s1"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></span></h2><ul><li>3+ years of experience building AI, machine learning, or NLP applications through industry, open-source, or research.</li><li>Strong experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and semantic search.</li><li>Solid understanding of NLP, machine learning, and modern deep learning techniques.</li><li>Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar ML frameworks.</li><li>Strong Python development skills and experience building production software.</li><li>Experience working with APIs, vector databases, and AI application frameworks.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li></ul><h2><span class="s1"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></span></h2><ul><li>Experience building AI systems for enterprise knowledge management or technical documentation.</li><li>Experience with AI agents, tool calling, and agentic workflows.</li><li>Familiarity with knowledge graphs, OCR, document parsing, or multimodal AI.</li><li>Experience deploying AI applications using modern MLOps practices.</li><li>Experience evaluating and benchmarking LLM performance.</li></ul><h2><span class="s1"><strong>What We Offer</strong></span></h2><ul><li>Competitive compensation.</li><li>Flexible part-time schedule.</li><li>Remote work within the United States.</li><li>Flexible vacation policy.</li><li>Opportunity to build cutting-edge AI products with a small, experienced, and highly technical team tackling challenging real-world problems.</li></ul>
