AI Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of AI and machine learning, building scalable and innovative solutions across multiple domains including natural language processing, vision-language systems, speech recognition, and conversational AI. You will design, implement, and deploy multimodal AI applications, optimize foundation models, and develop document understanding and OCR systems. Working closely with a collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to AI agents, human-in-the-loop processes, and advanced evaluation frameworks, ensuring production-ready, high-impact solutions. The position provides autonomy, technical challenge, and exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies in a dynamic and supportive environment.

• Implement, fine-tune, and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs) for business applications
• Design and deploy document understanding systems, OCR pipelines, and multimodal AI solutions
• Build speech recognition and conversational AI applications with integrated human-in-the-loop processes
• Evaluate, benchmark, and select foundation models for diverse AI tasks
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into production systems
• Develop model serving, monitoring infrastructure, and evaluation frameworks
• Stay current with emerging AI research and technologies to inform design decisions

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred)
• 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience; 2+ years implementing AI/ML systems (3+ preferred)
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one other language (e.g., Java, Go)
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar) and foundation model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Knowledge of LLM and VLM architectures, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering
• Experience with multimodal AI systems, document understanding, OCR, speech recognition, or conversational AI
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud-based AI infrastructure
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with ability to work independently and mentor others
