This role offers the opportunity to lead the development of next-generation AI-augmented software systems. You will work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and software engineering, designing and orchestrating intelligent agentic workflows that automate and enhance coding, testing, and deployment processes. The position involves creating multi-agent systems, integrating AI tools into complex software environments, and continuously refining AI-driven outputs to improve performance and reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and help shape best practices for AI-enabled development. This role provides high visibility, technical leadership opportunities, and the chance to impact software development at scale while exploring cutting-edge AI applications.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement multi-agent systems with specialized coding-focused agents (e.g., code writer, reviewer, tester, deployer).
  • Develop the logic, prompts, and scaffolding that guide each agent’s behavior.
  • Enable agents to interact with internal tools, including version control, test runners, APIs, and file systems.
  • Evaluate and refine agents’ performance, collaboration, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Prototype AI-assisted development workflows and build AI-powered interfaces for internal tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define standards and evaluation frameworks for AI contributions.
  • Mentor teammates on applying AI tools in real-world development workflows.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and maintain high-quality, secure code.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in at least part of the stack: Java, TypeScript + React, and MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI-assisted development tools such as LLM APIs, code generation platforms, vector databases, or agentic frameworks like LangChain.
  • Strong product mindset with a focus on real-world impact.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, experiment, iterate, and learn continuously.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to learn new tools and creatively apply AI to software engineering challenges.
