We're hiring an AI-charged Growth Marketer to own demand at Close across paid, content, and channel.
Building a demand engine looks different today than it did even 6 months ago. Buyers are searching in ChatGPT and Claude, watching YouTube reviews, and asking communities long before they ever Google "best CRM for small businesses."
You'll pick the channels worth betting on, build them, and use AI as a force multiplier to ship the work of a much bigger team. We don't have an astronomical budget, but this is a moment where smarts can out-savvy deep pockets, and Close has the raw stuff to pull it off. We do have a product people love, content worth distributing, and an org that's already deeply AI-forward. For the right person, this is all the kindling you'll need.
An operator. You can put together a multi-channel growth plan and you can also publish the blog post, launch the YouTube experiment, set up the paid campaign, and read the data yourself. More importantly: you build the agent that does it for you next time.
Obsessed with organic and how discovery is changing. You have opinions about what SEO looks like in a world where people search in ChatGPT and Claude. You've thought about LLM optimization. You've experimented with video, social, or community-driven distribution - not just search and paid.
Scrappy with resources. You've worked at a company where the budget was small and the team was smaller. You know how to place one or two bets instead of spreading across everything, and you know how to tell if a bet is working before you have statistically significant data. If your best work happened because you had a big team and a big budget, this isn't the right fit.
A systems thinker, not a campaign thinker. You'd rather build a channel that compounds over 12 months than run a campaign that spikes for a week. You think about flywheels and loops. But you also know that compounding channels take time, so you can find the quick wins while you build for the long game.
Outcome-oriented. You don't stop at "I drove traffic." You care whether that traffic turned into trials, and whether those trials turned into paying customers. If the website isn't converting, you'll work with the team that owns it to fix it - you won't point at a dashboard and say that's someone else's problem. “Not my problem” isn’t even in your vocabulary.
AI-leveraged. You don't use AI to write faster emails. You use it to run experiments you couldn't run before, ship work that used to take three more people, and turn one-off campaigns into systems that get sharper every week.
5-8+ years in B2B SaaS growth or marketing. You've done this at a company that looks a little like Close - a product people love, a lean team, a market where you have to earn every bit of attention. Bonus points if you were there early and helped build the growth motion before there was a playbook!
Figure out where Close should show up and go build it. We have strong content, a loyal customer community, and basically zero distribution beyond organic search. Your job is to change that. SEO, YouTube, social, paid, partnerships, product-led loops - you'll evaluate what's worth betting on, pick the first one or two, and start building.
Use AI as your team, not your assistant. Close is lean and marketing is leaner. Your output target is what a 10-person team would ship, and the way you'll hit it is by building agent-assisted workflows for content production, distribution, paid testing, and reporting. We expect you to push the frontier of what one person with the right systems can do here.
Own top-of-funnel traffic - and care about what happens after. Your primary metric is getting more of the right people to Close's website and product. But "the right people" means people who convert to trials and eventually pay. You'll partner with the growth product team on website conversion and activation, but you own the outcome end to end.
Win paid in a market where you can't outspend anyone. You know how to find the inefficient corner of a channel, kill what's not working in week two instead of quarter two, and squeeze ROI where the big spenders are wasting it.
Build distribution partnerships. Close has a growing partner ecosystem. You'll figure out how to work with partners for content co-creation, cross-promotion, and distribution.
Work with the content team to make content a growth lever. You won't create all the content yourself, but you'll have a strong point of view on what content needs to exist to fuel your channels. You'll partner closely with the team to make sure what gets produced actually drives distribution.
Prove it's working. Traffic up. Trials up. Paid subscribers up. If you've been here six months and the numbers look the same, something's wrong. You'll build the reporting to show what's working, what's not, and where to double down.
