ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.



This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.



World Relief is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our Strategic Engagement team. This team is integral to our fundraising efforts, and the Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting both the VP of Strategic Engagement and the broader team’s leadership. This is a fully remote position with minimal travel requirements.  This job will require a great attention to detail and collaboration, while also allowing the freedom to work independently.   This is a fully remote position with two in-person team meetings per year 


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • ---Executive Assistance:   
  • Manage the VP of Strategic Engagement's calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.   
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed. 
  •  Handle recurring tasks and follow-ups on behalf of the VP to ensure timely completion.   
  •  --- Lead Team Support:   
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Strategic Engagement team, ensuring all logistics are handled smoothly.   
  • Documenting and scheduling lead team activities and tasks   
  • Manage internal and external communications, ensuring timely responses and information flow.   
  • Organize and manage details for the team’s on-site trips, including booking travel and accommodations. 
  • Coordinate schedule with the Operations team. 
  •  Assist with the tracking and submission of the Travel Application   
  • ---General Administrative Tasks:
  •    Assist with financial management tasks, including processing invoices and expense reports.   
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, task management software, and other relevant tools to support team operations. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and a proactive approach to work. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with financial management tools and basic database management. 
  • Experience with task management software.   


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Bachelors degree and experience in non-profit administration.   


$60,000 - $70,000 a year
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
