About the Role
We're hiring part-time and PRN instructors!
The Adjunct EMS Instructor will play a vital role in supporting the educational objectives of the EMS program by providing remote instruction and assistance to students. The ideal candidate will be a certified Paramedic with a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering student success in the field of emergency medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote Instruction: Deliver online instruction and support to students in the EMS program, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of course material.
- Skills Teaching and Verification: Assist in teaching and verifying essential EMS skills through virtual platforms, ensuring students meet competency standards.
- Grading and Assessment: Evaluate student performance on assignments, practical skills, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement.
- Clinical Documentation Review: Review and assess clinical documentation submitted by students, ensuring adherence to program standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director to develop and implement instructional materials and strategies that enhance the learning experience.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director and Assistant Program Director to support the overall goals of the EMS program.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Paramedic.
- Previous teaching or instructional experience in EMS or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students in a remote learning environment.
- Proficient in using online teaching platforms and technology for remote instruction.
- Knowledge of current EMS practices, protocols, and educational standards.
Work Schedule & Location
- Remote
- May travel to customer locations or instructional sites throughout Texas.
- Part Time 20+ hours per week.
- Flexible work arrangements, a reduced full-time position, or a part-time position may be available for applicants with EMS experience who are concurrently employed at another EMS service or agency
