As an Actuarial Analyst, you will drive data-informed decisions by conducting advanced statistical analyses to support pricing across multiple regions and products. You'll collaborate closely with Underwriting and Product Teams to develop innovative pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness.

We have openings on two teams. You will work on either the State Pricing Team assisting with indications and state pricing, or on the Rate Impact Team assisting with policy re-rating and impact metrics. In your application, please note any preferences.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare and reconcile data
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of data and reports and review internally
  • Conduct ad hoc reports
  • Assist with rate studies, rate indications, filing support, and/or policy re-rating and impacts
  • Assist on project tasks

This might describe you

  • Skilled in mathematical and statistical procedures
  • Excellent ability to analyze various forms of statistical data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of coding/statistical software such as Excel, SQL, SAS, R, Python, etc.
  • Experience with pricing tools such as Radar or Akur8

Over and above

  • Successfully completed 1 - 3 actuarial exams
  • 0 - 2 years of actuarial, predictive modeling, or related analytics experience

Other things to note

  • This role can be worked from any U.S. remote location.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
