Accounting Product Specialist (Remote - US)

We are seeking an Accounting Product Specialist to act as the bridge between product functionality and accounting workflows, ensuring software solutions are optimized, adopted, and impactful for finance teams. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams to guide feature development, support onboarding, and deliver hands-on training. Your expertise in accounting principles and workflows will directly influence product improvements and customer satisfaction. You will also act as a subject matter expert for clients, troubleshoot accounting issues, and contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing. This position offers the opportunity to combine accounting expertise with product strategy in a fast-paced, innovative environment, making a measurable impact on client success and platform adoption.

Accountabilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on accounting features within the platform.
• Collaborate with product teams to design, test, and refine accounting-related features.
• Support onboarding of clients and provide hands-on training to accounting teams.
• Troubleshoot accounting-related issues in collaboration with engineering and support teams.
• Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and improvements.
• Partner with sales and customer success teams to provide accounting expertise during demos, proposals, and renewals.
• Create and maintain documentation, training guides, and knowledge base articles related to accounting features.
• Stay current with accounting standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles in public or private sectors.
• Prior experience with accounting, ERP, or practice management software preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and standard accounting workflows, preferably for law firms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable product insights.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving SaaS environment.
