Accounting Manager (Remote - US)

Accountabilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support the development of a team of accountants and an Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Drive the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close process, including reviewing journal entries and reconciliations (cash, fixed assets, intercompany, accruals, etc.).
• Conduct financial reviews and variance analysis to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness throughout all accounting functions.
• Oversee the preparation of financial data for quarterly and annual reports; act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.
• Spearhead accounting process improvements, including co-leading the implementation of automation tools (e.g., Coupa).
• Identify and implement strategies to increase the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of financial operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience preparing/reviewing full financial statements.
• Proven ability to manage a structured, deadline-driven month-end close process.
• Skilled in journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and AP automation tools (such as Coupa).
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills.
• Clear and confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, evolving work environment; SaaS or tech industry experience is a plus.
