This role is focused on driving the adoption, appropriate use, and commercial success of innovative oncology treatments within a specialized solid tumor portfolio. You will engage directly with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and clinical staff, to educate, support, and ensure optimal use of therapies that improve patient outcomes. Operating within a highly regulated and scientifically driven environment, you will manage a defined territory while balancing sales performance, customer education, and compliance responsibilities. The position requires a strong ability to build trusted relationships in the healthcare ecosystem and to collaborate with internal market access, reimbursement, and field support teams. You will play a key role in expanding patient access to critical oncology treatments while navigating complex reimbursement and healthcare systems. Accountabilities:- Promote solid tumor oncology products through strategic engagement with targeted physicians and healthcare professionals within an assigned territory.
- Educate and train physician offices and clinical support staff on proper product usage, administration, and handling to ensure safe and effective treatment outcomes.
- Align with market access, reimbursement, and contract teams to support patient access and resolve coverage or distribution challenges.
- Ensure healthcare providers maintain accurate expectations regarding product benefits, usage, and clinical outcomes.
- Identify territory-level changes in customer needs and coordinate internal resources to address evolving requirements effectively.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including call activity, customer interactions, and territory insights, in a timely and compliant manner.
- Support compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, adverse event reporting, and ethical sales practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain product and industry expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) preferred, ideally in a scientific, business, or related field.
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with strong preference for oncology or solid tumor therapeutic areas.
- Proven success in specialty sales within complex healthcare environments, including experience with reimbursement and managed markets.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, including hospital settings, specialty pharmacies, and payer environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage territory independently with a self-driven, results-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently in high-stakes clinical discussions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track performance metrics, ROI, and sales KPIs.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders and navigate complex decision-making environments.
- Willingness to travel daily within the assigned territory, with up to 20% overnight travel depending on geography.
