Job Description

Are you ready to build a career with a growing company in the exciting, fast-paced industry of international trade insurance? As a Marine Account Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring client satisfaction and retention. You'll assist new and current clients with binding and renewing marine cargo insurance policies that best meet individual coverage needs. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Client Communication & Relationship Building:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients via phone and email, providing professional and efficient support.
  • Proactively communicate with clients regarding marine renewals and other TRG products to maintain high retention rates.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests, offering information to enhance their understanding of TRG products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business professionals across the country, exemplifying our customer-centric business model.
  • Communicate TRG benefits to generate interest in additional products.
  • Make calls and send emails for financial collection, referring termination accounts to marine underwriting as needed.
  • Administrative & Processing Support:
  •  Evaluate cargo insurance needs and relay information to marine underwriting in a timely manner.
  • Send marine documents and thank you messages to renewing clients.
  • Accurately update and maintain TRG's client database.
  • Complete all activities in a timely manner and maintain self-management over your activity list.
  • Collaboration & Training:
  • Work successfully with all TRG team members, supporting senior team members responsible for your training and development.
  • Communicate effectively with Underwriting, and management to ensure accurate and timely completion of renewal-related tasks (e.g., new accounts, underwriting needs, terminations).
  • Participate in the training of new Client Loyalty Specialists and engage in peer-to-peer team building.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively by email, telephone, and in person.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Consistent ability to provide exceptional customer service, responding immediately to requests and building strong relationships.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to remain adaptable to changing procedures and department needs, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-Motivation & Accountability: Self-motivated to take initiative and ownership for the quality and timeliness of work, with a strong ability to follow through.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage limited time, and meet deadlines.
  • Industry Knowledge & Promotion: Desire to expand industry knowledge and education, quickly becoming knowledgeable about TRG products and comfortable promoting them.
  • Technical Proficiency: High level of comfort and competency using standard PC and basic software programs, including Outlook email.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • Licensing: Must be able to secure an Insurance Producer Property & Casualty and Surety license within 90 days of starting.

Compensation: $22.50 an hour with an additional commission component
