This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Mapbox. We are currently looking for an Account Executive – Commercial Sales in the United States.

As a key player in a dynamic commercial sales team, you’ll be responsible for driving new business and expanding strategic accounts in a high-growth environment. You will leverage technical insights and customer-centric solutions to close complex deals and build long-term relationships with clients across various industries. With a strong focus on impact and innovation, you’ll work cross-functionally to influence product development and share customer success stories. This role offers a unique blend of autonomy, strategic thinking, and collaboration — ideal for someone who thrives in a tech-forward, results-driven environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Drive new business revenue by sourcing and closing deals from a defined target list.
  • Develop and grow strategic relationships, identifying new expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Craft tailored, solution-oriented pitches that combine platform capabilities with customer needs and business value.
  • Provide feedback from the field to help shape future product offerings and technical roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with marketing to highlight customer success stories and expand presence in key verticals.
  • Mentor junior sales colleagues and contribute to internal talent development initiatives.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in account management or new business sales, ideally within the tech or SaaS space.
  • Strong technical sales acumen, demonstrated through successful high-volume or complex deal experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, engaging engineers, product leaders, and C-level executives.
  • Track record of working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and support teams to close deals and ensure customer success.
  • Attributes such as curiosity, empathy, persistence, and a team-first mindset are essential to succeed in this role.
