Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a campus in Austin, Texas which is now home to our US operations. This is a hybrid role in Austin Texas and you must live within commuting distance to our office. 

What you’d be doing in this role

Flourish is the world’s leading data storytelling platform. It enables anyone to create beautiful graphics and interactive stories without coding. Since its launch in 2018, more than 1 million registered users have produced around 15 million graphics, which have racked up more than 30 billion views. Our customers range from leading financial and professional services firms, newsrooms and corporations to NGOs, universities and government departments all over the world.

Our customers include leading newsrooms (such as BBC and FT), major corporates (such as Goldman Sachs and Moody’s), NGOs (Amnesty, Rockefeller) plus universities all over the world.

Following our acquisition, Flourish is a proud member of the Canva family.

We’re looking for an Account Executive to join the Canva Flourish team! As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for driving sales, developing new relationships, and engaging with new customers. You’ll work with the team to identify customer needs, create tailored solutions, and close deals. You will have experience driving outbound sales and managing complex deal flows, working well in an empowered, autonomous culture to help build our North American business.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • You will build relationships with potential customers and identify customer needs and create tailored solutions.
  • You will negotiate complex contracts working with legal, security and senior stakeholders to close deals.
  • You will develop and execute a sales plan to exceed your sales goals
  • You will participate in team meetings and training, working well with cross functional teams like marketing, partnering on events to drive new business growth.
  • You will proactively outreach and sell to big global brands leveraging high-touch outbound best practice.
  • You will prepare and conduct pitches and presentations, conducting and organizing the sales process whilst tracking every sales stage in our CRM system tool, ensuring a successful handover of customers.

You're probably a match if

  • 4+ years of digital sales experience in B2B SaaS selling
  • Passion for media, web content and data
  • Proficient in prospecting and self sourcing leads through outbound, whilst simultaneously being able to convert our inbound leads.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and digital content trends
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to promote and sell to blue chip brands and senior stakeholders
  • A dynamic and sales-oriented professional, possess a persistent mindset and prove exceptional sales skills 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with high agency that thrives in an empowered environment.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically. Another European language is a plus.
