This role focuses on driving strategic growth within the higher education sector by promoting specialized software solutions for budgeting, grants, and procurement. You will act as a trusted advisor to universities and colleges, helping them identify operational challenges and align them with tailored technology solutions. The position blends consultative selling, deep market understanding, and relationship building across senior stakeholders in academic institutions. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation, while maintaining a strong and active pipeline. Working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver impactful proposals and customer experiences. This is a highly visible role where your ability to influence, communicate, and execute directly contributes to revenue growth and customer success.


Accountabilities:
  • Drive new business growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets across higher education accounts, maintaining high activity levels and strong pipeline momentum
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting, including outreach, cold calling, email campaigns, and monitoring RFP opportunities
  • Develop deep understanding of prospective institutions to deliver tailored, consultative solutions aligned with their operational and financial needs
  • Lead or coordinate product demonstrations and collaborate on customized presentations with internal stakeholders to support client decision-making
  • Manage RFP responses, pricing proposals, and negotiation processes, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions aligned with customer expectations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to key decision-makers, guiding clients through solution evaluation, objection handling, and contract finalization
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage time effectively to ensure consistent engagement across all stages of the sales cycle

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic or consultative sales roles with a strong track record of exceeding targets
  • Proven experience selling software or SaaS solutions, ideally within higher education or public sector environments
  • Strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels, including executive leadership and operational users
  • Deep understanding of complex sales cycles, pipeline management, and RFP-driven procurement processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, along with familiarity with grant management or public sector software solutions as an advantage
