InsCipher is a rapidly growing software and services company with a specialized focus in the insurance industry. We’re seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Account Executive to join our sales team.

Your primary objective is straightforward: sell InsCipher’s products and services and close deals. In this role, you’ll engage prospective clients through web-based demos, phone, email, and chat, clearly articulating the value of InsCipher’s subscription-based, software-enhanced solutions. You’ll manage and convert a steady flow of inbound leads generated by Marketing, while also engaging in light to moderate outbound prospecting as needed to meet and exceed revenue targets.

This is a remote position, with travel required as needed (generally less than 30%).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and close mid-market sales opportunities, typically ranging from $40K–$100K, engaging with business owners, managers, and department leaders
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas on a consistent basis by managing a healthy, high-quality pipeline
  • Deliver clear, consultative sales presentations and demos that effectively communicate InsCipher’s value proposition
  • Provide prompt, professional follow-up to all prospect inquiries, maintaining InsCipher’s high standard for responsiveness
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with prospects by understanding their challenges and tailoring solutions accordingly
  • Focus primarily on closing marketing-generated leads, while conducting light to moderate prospecting as needed to support revenue goals
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to share prospect feedback and improve messaging, positioning, and sales effectiveness
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product and Leadership teams to share market insights that inform product direction and go-to-market strategy
  • Participate in upsell and expansion conversations with existing clients, as appropriate
  • Represent InsCipher at industry events and conferences as a trusted and knowledgeable ambassador
  • Follow established sales processes and playbooks, while contributing feedback to improve them over time
  • Contribute to the development of customer success stories, including case studies and testimonials, in partnership with Marketing
  • Assist with preparing sales service agreements for Legal and Leadership review
  • Participate actively in team sales meetings to align on goals, pipeline health, and strategy
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in consultative B2B sales
  • Strong research skills with the ability to understand a prospect’s business and speak to their needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and consistently articulate value
  • Consultative selling mindset — able to listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and guide productive conversations
  • Comfortable working autonomously and learning the business quickly after onboarding
  • Coachable and open to feedback, with a growth-oriented mindset
  • Experience using CRM tools; HubSpot experience is a plus

Preferred

  • Exposure to the insurance industry, including Surplus Lines or Non-Admitted insurance
  • SaaS or InsurTech sales experience

Compensation Range: $80k/yr base + commission
