This role is a high-impact sales leadership position focused on driving growth within key accounts in the food industry. The Account Director will act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions across a diverse portfolio of products. This position combines strategic account management, consultative selling, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve sales, volume, and profitability goals. The role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers, identifying new product opportunities, and contributing to long-term business strategies. The position involves substantial travel, working independently, and collaborating closely with internal teams including R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Culinary. Accountabilities:

Drive growth in strategic accounts by delivering customized product solutions and identifying new opportunities aligned with client needs.
Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor through consultative selling.
Contribute insights and strategies to annual sales planning, aligning plans with market trends and organizational objectives.
Achieve or exceed sales, volume, and profitability targets, ensuring activities align with budget and priorities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Culinary to align offerings with client needs and innovation pipelines.
Lead sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management, using CRM tools and data analytics to monitor performance and support operational planning.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional activities with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; business, marketing, or related field preferred.
5+ years of progressive sales or account management experience, preferably in the food or related industries.
Demonstrated success in building and growing strategic customer relationships.
Consultative selling skills with a data-driven, strategic approach.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication abilities.
Comfortable working independently with 50–60% travel requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
Experience selling customized or private-label food products is a plus.
