The individual will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities while simultaneously engaging in required fieldwork hours under the supervision of a licensed BCBA. This dual role offers valuable experience in both practical behavior intervention and the application of ABA principles to gain skills needed for an entry-level BCBA.</span></p><ul class="ignore-global-css"><li>Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), preference assessments, and other relevant assessments under the guidance of a BCBA.</li><li>Participate in the development and modification of behavior intervention plans (BIPs), treatment goals, and individualized service plans, ensuring they align with client needs and evidence-based practices under the supervision of the BCBA.</li><li>Collect, record, and analyze data related to client behaviors, treatment progress, and session outcomes. Prepare data reports and assist in modifying treatment plans based on data analysis.</li><li>Attend regular clinical supervision meetings with a BCBA or clinical supervisor to review client progress, receive feedback, and develop professional competencies required for BCBA certification.</li><li>Assist in case documentation by maintaining detailed and accurate client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other documentation in accordance with company policies and ethical guidelines.</li><li>Provide one-on-one direct behavioral intervention to clients in home, clinic, and/or community settings. Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and training programs as designed by the BCBA.</li><li>Implement skill-building programs designed to teach clients new skills, including communication, social, academic, and daily living skills according to the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) for skill acquisition.</li><li>Implement behavior reduction strategies, including reinforcement, prompting, and other interventions to reduce challenging behaviors according to the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).</li><li>Accurately collect data on client behaviors, progress, and skill acquisition during therapy sessions. Ensure data is taken in real-time and is consistent with the goals outlined in treatment plans.</li><li>Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and other team members to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across settings. Provide guidance to families regarding behavior management strategies and client progress.</li><li>Adhere to the ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, families, and team members.</li><li>Represent the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.</li><li>Ensure confidentiality of children and employee information. Respond to internal and external requests for information according to clinic policy.</li><li>Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader.</li><li>Comply with BACB’s ethics requirements.</li></ul></div></div></div></div><div class="clHeadSecondary"><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</em></div><div class=" row"><div id="jobQualifications-row" class="row formRowStandard "><div class="formLine"><div class="ignore-global-css"><p class="ignore-global-css">&nbsp;</p><p class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">Minimum Requirements:</strong></p><ul class="ignore-global-css"><li>Current certification of Registered Behavior Technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).</li><li class="ignore-global-css">Current graduate student within an ABA program seeking certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a minimum of 6 months.</li></ul><p class="ignore-global-css">&nbsp;</p><p class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">What you have:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.</li><li>Ability to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.</li><li>Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li><li>Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.</li><li>Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.</li><li class="ignore-global-css"><span class="ignore-global-css">Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.</span></li></ul><p class="ignore-global-css">&nbsp;</p><p class="ignore-global-css"><strong class="ignore-global-css">Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
